Arpeggiated String Crossings

VI. ARPEGGIATED STRING CROSSINGS – A major scale on the G string. One or two octaves. Any fingering is fine. Keep the bow hand relaxed, especially on string crossings. Use the whole arm to cross strings. Keep the hair flat, wrist out and the bow level. This is also a bow speed exercise – slow bow on open strings, faster on fingered notes. Repeat each position up to 12 times. Keep the legato slur, but reverse bowings from down up to up down.Screen Shot 2016-02-10 at 3.59.13 PM
